I can't remember if I ever had a large black and beige cockroach running across my hand when I got mail out of the letterbox in Auckland. Guess it must be a Sydney thing.
Sister, Oz is a veritable smorgasbord of gross insect life - wait til you encounter the big adult grasshoppers. They are the epitome of disgusting! Cockroaches ( or " Cockies " as the Aussies charmingly call them ) are masters of surprise. You never get warning of attack ... When you least expect it, a cockroach comes zipping out from under the fridge or the dishwasher, causing terrified shrieks & frantic scrambling for insect killer. Enjoy !!!
And they can run fast and random, you just can't predict what direction they'll head in next. Question. If cockroaches can survive ice ages and meteroite showers, do you think they also survive being sucked up my vacuum cleaner? ie they continue to run fast and randomly inside my vacuum bag, snacking occasionally on other sucked up tid bits. Actually no don't answer that. And "anonymous", by chance are you my Sister, coz you're kind of giving yourself away?
