Day 5


Glory holes.

A glory hole is used when a dam is at full capacity and water needs to be drained from the reservoir. The Glory Hole at Monticello Dam is the largest in the world. Its size enables it to consume 500 cubic metres of water every second.

And folks, don't do what I did and google "glory holes, images". Especially with the kids around

    Sister, You must put a WARNING before this picture so those with an all consuming fear of dam sink holes are pre warned !!!
    I read that a uni student committed suicide at Montecillo Dam - Christ can you imagine the feeling of being sucked towards that .......
    And yes, don't put "glory hole" into a search engine unless you are VERY broad minded !!!!
